1. The Garvan Woodland Gardens

Take the kids and their four-legged friends on an outdoor adventure to Garvan Woodland Gardens, a lovely peaceful space where your kids can enjoy being out in the fresh air. Go on a scavenger hunt and discover the Children’s Adventure Garden, play in the beautiful tree house, climb the rocks, and stroll over Cedar Bridge to look at the little waterfall and the cave.

You can buy koi food at the gift shop and feed the koi in the pond, visit the peaceful Anthony Chapel tucked away between the trees, and enjoy a delicious lunch at Chipmunk Café before you head home.

2. The Mid-America Science Museum

The Mid-America Science Museum is packed with indoor and outdoor hands-on interactive fun. The exhibits, including the Tinkering Studio, Dino Trek, Skywalk, and the fascinating science shows, will help your kids understand how the world works as they touch, listen, observe, and ask questions. In the Marvelous Motion Gallery, kids experiment with motion, and the Light Bridge allows them to examine prisms, filters, and colors.

The Skywalk is a 180-foot-long boardwalk 40 feet off the ground with spectacular views of the woods surrounding the museum, where kids can experiment with electricity and test their skills on the Rope V-Bridge.

3. Funtrackers Family Fun Park

At Funtrackers Family Fun Park, the fun and excitement start the moment you walk through the door. Play mini golf on the Volcano Falls Miniature Golf Course, a challenging 18-hole course that winds over running creeks with views of majestic waterfalls. Start your engine and put the pedal to the metal on the largest go-kart track in Arkansas.

Ride the bumper boats over the waves, play laser tag in the jungle-themed arena with state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and special effects, and head to the Victory Lane Arcade and Game Room for hours of gaming fun.

Funtrackers Family Fun Park is at 2614 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs and is open Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
