Hot Springs National Park

Start exploring Hot Springs with the national park that gives the city its name. At Hot Springs National Park, you can bathe in the geological wonder of natural thermal springs and explore the unique landscape by hiking or biking on 26 miles of trails. Nine cultural bathhouse buildings in the park’s National Historic Landmark District highlight architectural styles from 1892 to 1923 and still offer services like saunas, hydrotherapy, and massages.

Additional amenities at Hot Springs National Park include tent and RV campsites, lake access for fishing, several scenic drives and overlooks, picnic facilities, and much more. The park is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s located at 101 Reserve St.

Garvan Woodland Gardens

Immerse yourself in vibrant plant life at this 210-acre botanical garden in Hot Springs, owned by the University of Arkansas. Garvan Woodland Gardens features a four-acre Japanese rock and stream garden, a 10,000-square-foot display of mixed seasonal blooms, a camellia trail, a woodland walk lined with azaleas, a 20-foot canopy bridge that winds through the trees, and a children’s adventure garden.

Garvan Woodland Gardens is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s located at 550 Arkridge Rd. Admission costs $25 for adults and $15 for ages 4 to 12. You can take a golf cart tour or bring your dog to the gardens for an added fee.

Labor Day Fireworks

Celebrate the traditional end of the summer season with a fireworks display on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. This free public event will take place on Sunday, September 3, at sunset, with a rain date on Monday, September 4, in case of inclement weather. The show, held at Hwy 7 S Bridge, will sync with programming on the local country music radio station, 97.5 FM US97.

Hot Springs Historic Baseball Trail

Did you know that Hot Springs played an important part in the history of baseball? Visit local landmarks and find out more about the town’s link with America’s favorite game with the self-guided Hot Springs Historic Baseball Trail app. Along the way, you’ll see iconic Arkansas sights like Happy Hollow, where the winding mountain trails served as a training ground for major league players.

Our favorite part of the tour is the Playing Cards Mural, which honors Lefty Grove, Satchel Paige, Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, and Honus Wagner. To learn more, you can stop by the Hot Springs Convention Center at 134 Convention Blvd.
