2023 Chevrolet Traverse

With five trim levels to choose from, it's easy to find the right fit for your needs when it comes to the new Traverse. The entry-level LS trim boasts a rearview camera straight from the beginning. If you want a bit more, however, you may be interested in the LT trim, which features 18-inch wheels painted bright silver and crafted from aluminum. At the RS trim level, the Traverse gets a significant exterior upgrade with black accents across the outside coupled with black roof rails, bowtie emblems, window moldings, and grille. Plus, the wheels are darkened and upgraded to 20 inches. With the Premier trim you also get a hands-free power liftgate. The highest trim is the High Country. Its 20-inch wheels are polished aluminum, and it's equipped with a SkyScape dual-panel sunroof.

Only one engine is available with the new Traverse, but it's all the engine that you'll ever need. It's a 3.6-liter V-6 similar to what you'll find in many other Chevy vehicles, and it has long since established its reliability. With this engine, you'll be able to control 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. It comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that gives you enough punch to reach 60 mph from a dead stop in only 6.5 seconds.

Driving the Traverse is as thrilling as it is easy thanks to its available drive modes. You can alternate between drive modes based on the particular experience you're looking for. For example, there's an off-road mode for increased traction and a standard front-wheel-drive mode for maximizing fuel efficiency on those long road trips down the highway. You can even enjoy an impressive 5,000-pound towing capacity when the Traverse is properly equipped.

As a three-row SUV, the Traverse is one of the best options if you're looking to carry plenty of passengers around. It can seat up to eight people comfortably, but that drops to seven people total if you upgrade the second row to captain's chairs. If you're more interested in carrying cargo, you'll have 98.2 cubic feet of space available with the rear rows folded down. That's a higher cargo capacity than any other vehicle in its class.
