2023 GMC Terrain

There are four stunning trims in the 2023 Terrain lineup, including the SLE, which gets C-shaped LED headlamps, deep-tinted rear glass, and 17-inch silver wheels to accentuate its flowing lines and athletic curves. On the SLT, you'll find 18-inch silver wheels and a hands-free liftgate with programmable height, which helps you avoid overhangs and other obstacles. With the AT4, you can take advantage of a front skid plate and Goodyear Sport Terrain Tires. GMC equips the top trim, the Denali, with a trim-exclusive grille and Ultra Bright wheels measuring 19 inches. The Terrain is available in such eye-catching colors as Volcanic Red, Marine Metallic, and Sterling Metallic.

The 2023 Terrain delivers powerful performance via a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine featuring an output of 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. With this extraordinary output, the Terrain can tow up to 1,500 pounds. Fuel-saving features like direct injection and variable valve timing maximize output while minimizing fuel consumption, helping the Terrain get up to 29 mpg on the highway.

GMC pairs the Terrain engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission that facilitates seamless acceleration, boosting output and efficiency. The SLE and SLT feature an intuitive front-wheel-drive system that provides agility for maneuvering through traffic and taking tight turns. An all-wheel-drive system, standard in the AT4 and Denali, is optional for the lower trims, maximizing traction and stability by distributing the right amount of torque to all four wheels, depending on driving conditions. The AT4 adds a traction select system to calibrate for off-road performance and other tricky situations.

Inside every 2023 Terrain, you'll find seating for five, with the SLE offering premium cloth upholstery and aluminum accents. You can equip the SLE and the SLT with heated front seats, and the SLT comes standard with a heated steering wheel. The AT4 adds an eight-way adjustable driver's seat featuring lumbar controls, while the Denali gets leather-trimmed seats. The Denali also has burnished metal accents and an 8-inch driver information display. With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, you can stream music, get traffic information, and make hands-free phone calls.

The 2023 GMC Terrain features a forward-collision alert that detects potential collisions with pedestrians and vehicles and applies the brakes as needed. If your Terrain starts to drift and you don't have your turn signal on, the lane-keep assist will use corrective steering to guide it back into place. When equipped with the available lane-change alert, the Terrain will notify you if a car is blocking your path when trying to change lanes. Driving in reverse activates the rear cross-traffic alert, which senses vehicles approaching from either side of the Terrain.
