The same goes for Google built-in, the 11-inch Driver Information Center and the over-16-feature driver assistance suite: all standard across the lineup.

2027 Terrain Infotainment and Connectivity
Fifteen inches diagonal, standard on all three trims. The Premium GMC Infotainment System runs Google built-in, which means Google Maps and Google Assistant are native to the car rather than mirrored from a phone: you can set a destination, reply to a message, or change a vehicle setting by voice with the phone in your pocket. An 11-inch Driver Information Center sits behind the wheel on Elevation, AT4 and Denali.
Wireless smartphone charging is available on the Elevation and is included with the Elevation Premium edition, which also brings dual-zone automatic climate control and the AutoSense liftgate.
Hands-Free Driving and Driver Assistance Scope
The 2027 Terrain does not offer hands-free driving. Super Cruise is a feature of larger GMC vehicles, and on the SUV side of the lineup it belongs to the Acadia, where it is available and standard on the Denali Ultimate with a three-year OnStar One plan. What the Terrain does offer is a full set of alerting and intervening aids as standard equipment, and a camera package that scales by trim. Adaptive cruise control is part of the standard driver assistance content on the Terrain.
Standard Driver Assistance Features
Over 16 safety and driver assistance features are standard on every 2027 Terrain. The named ones GMC publishes:
- Forward Collision Alert warns of a potential collision with a detected vehicle ahead, and provides a tailgating alert if you are following too closely.
- Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking works between 5 and 50 mph, alerting and providing hard emergency braking or enhancing yours. It has limited nighttime and low-visibility performance.
- Blind Zone Steering Assist alerts and can provide a brief, firm turn of the steering wheel when a moving vehicle is detected in the lane you are entering.
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking alerts and automatically provides hard emergency braking in reverse when it detects vehicles crossing behind you.
- IntelliBeam turns the high beams on and off automatically above 25 mph according to surrounding traffic.
- HD Rear Vision Camera shows a high-resolution image behind the vehicle in reverse, with an optional heading overlay.

Technology Package II is the one to know. On the Elevation and AT4 it adds HD Surround Vision, a Cabin Glance interior camera, the Rear Camera Mirror, Rear Pedestrian Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition; on the Elevation it also brings front LED fog lamps. The IIHS small overlap front ratings for this vehicle were assigned from tests of a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox conducted by General Motors, because the two share a redesign.
